Facebook changes every day. Whether it's a new messaging button, a different way to communicate with friends, or an algorithm update for pages, it's certainly a daily challenge to stay on top of all the updates, especially with the most important changes for businesses and pages.

If you've ever advertised on Facebook before, ever thought about advertising on Facebook, or need to know about... Facebook Ads For anything you do, there are four important new updates that the "Globo Network" of social media recently announced. Here they are. The 4 new Facebook Ads updates and what you need to know about them.:

1. BRAND AWARENESS OPTIMIZATION

Facebook believes that ads fall into two categories: brand awareness and direct response (DR). For DR campaigns (think ads that promote app downloads, newsletter subscriptions, or product purchases), advertisers (like us) don't just have one objective with these ads. We needed metrics to measure what constitutes success and how it's built on the platform via insights and conversion rates.

That's why Facebook introduced "Brand Awareness Optimization" to help advertisers (starting to roll out for us only in October) identify, reach, and attract people who are more likely to return and engage with the page and its posts. Finally, Lombardi!

2. VIDEO ADS IN THE CAROUSEL

The carousel format for Facebook Ads It's nothing new, but including videos in this type of ad was impossible... until now.

This means that video content can be promoted alongside your other content. For example, you can place a product demo video next to photos and finally end the carousel with an image and a link to a landing page or download. Pretty cool, right?

3. Target Rating Points (TRP): The same way to buy TV ads.

This is for Facebook spenders, especially global brands, agencies, and companies that have a stake in television advertising. Facebook reported in its audience research that boosting TV campaigns with Facebook video ads increases their reach and also improves the efficiency and effectiveness of the ad.

With this update, you will be able to incorporate Facebook video ads into your digital ad rankings, allowing advertisers to better plan their campaign strategy using a smart mix of Facebook and TV.

In nearly 50 campaigns, Facebook impressions were twice as likely to reach the target audience as TV impressions, and when Facebook ads were placed alongside TV ads, there was a 19% increase in target audience reach compared to standalone TV ads.

4. VOTING ON MOBILE DEVICES

If you're interested in researching Facebook and/or Instagram users, you're in luck. Facebook has announced that it will now allow advertisers to launch mobile voting campaigns. This will allow advertisers to measure the success of their campaigns, which should lead to more authentic and accurate results.

If you're interested in launching a poll in a mobile ad, Facebook encourages you to contact your digital marketing provider, which in this case could be us. #ficadica
