Leo Grand, a homeless man, is the creator of the app. Trees for Cars, This app helps people find rides in areas near their location and, on top of that, calculates the amount of CO2 (carbon dioxide) saved by the person who requested a ride instead of traveling in their own car.

Opinion of the humble creator of this blog: SENSATIONAL!

This article only reinforces why I chose to work with digital marketing the way I do: teaching people to do exactly what I do. Basically, the motto that drives our work is:

“"We believe that by using the internet intelligently, we can make the world a better place."”

Don't you agree? That's exactly what the programmer did. Patrick McConlogue, when Leo Grand He asked for alms and was offered $100 or programming lessons. Which do you think he chose?

It took 16 weeks of classes, with Patrick using only 1 hour a day to teach Leo how to program.Where's your excuse now?Grand also received tools to help him practice what he was learning: a notebook and 3 used books.

Leo's journey resonated worldwide and even inspired a new creation. a fan page so that people could follow his progress. Which, by the way, already has over 50,000 "likes".

If you're interested in downloading the app, it's available for iOS and Android. AT THIS LINK HERE for just U$S 0.99. As Grand himself said in a statement: “Trees for Cars It's a great way to build relationships, unite communities, help each other financially, and consume energy consciously, all to protect the environment.“".

How does it actually work?

Here's how it works: you choose the address you need to go to, and the app shows you drivers who are nearby and heading to the same area. Then, one driver can invite another to share a ride. They are only connected after both accept the invitation. At the end of the ride, the app calculates how much carbon dioxide emissions they saved by using the app. Trees for Cars.

Cool, right? 😀

All the revenue from the app sales goes to Grand. The homeless man said he will use the money to help pay for a programming course. See a video below. Trees for Cars Starring its creator:
